Incoming several-in-one announcement thread!
That's all for this announcement, folks. Feel free to celebrate and discuss!
Finished Enough
First off, the Compendium is at a "finished-enough" state, meaning that finally, people can update their profiles, yay! There are still a few things incomplete, but nothing that should impede anyone from updating/respecing. There may also be a few bugs, so if you see any, post 'em here!.
Updated Character Format
All players profiles have been updated to the new format. This does not include APCs or NPCs yet. What this format update did:The Artifacts, Rings, and Materials sections have been removed.
The Bottles section was renamed to the Consumables section.
Any Artifacts you had, I went ahead and updated because they weren't already in the Compendium.
Items that no longer exist were nuked from your profiles:
Empty Bottles were refunded at 50 Rupees a piece.
Common Rings were refunded at 75 Rupees a piece.
Rare Rings were refunded at 150 Rupees a piece.
For each Ascended Ring nuked, you got a Heart Container.
There were a handful of other items. In their place, you got a line saying: "This item no longer exists and was removed."
Everything else should be untouched.
- Tabs are awesome.
- Stats block is fixed.
- You may notice your stat points are 10 points higher than they used to be. This is due to a change in character creation, where the starting stats of 2 Power, 2 Courage, 2 Wisdom, 3 Hearts, and 1 Magic are being replaced by 1 Heart and 9 Stat Points. It technically would be 10 Stat Points, but you would instantly die without 1 Heart, hence why one point is forced into Hearts.
Updating Your Stuff
Go through each section of your profile and replace everything with the version that exists in the Compendium. If you can't find something, post your request here. Note that a lot of items between Misc and Tools have been flipped, so if you don't see something in one of those sections, it's probably in the other. If it has a limited amount, it probably belongs under Consumables.
Innate Skills now go under Active Skills and Passive Skills when you update those into your profile, so whatever ones you got stashed in your Description, nuke 'em.
Note that the number of Passive Skills you can have has changed to 5 categories - Booster, Offensive, Defense, Support, & Counterattack. Make sure you don't have anything more than that enabled, except for the Innate Passive Skills provided by your race.

Full Respecs
The game isn't restarting, per se, but a lot of things have been changed and updated, and it'd honestly be unfair if no one could change their stuff out before we re-release. That said, for the duration of this month, you can freely respec the following:Spells
You can switch out any number of Spells you have for an equal number of Spells.
Items
You can switch out any number of Items you have for an equal number of Items, except Personal Items, Artifacts, & Consumables.
You can also redistribute your Heart & Magic Containers, as long as you have the same total as you did before.
After you've finished updating and respecing your profile, poke me so I do a check of it over.

I am not updating your profiles for you
Unless you want the game to be delayed even bloody more... no wait, I still won't do it. The tools to update your profile are there - do it yourself, please. I don't mind helping if an error pops up or you can't find something, but otherwise, I'm not doing your characters' work for you.
Delayed to September
Now that the Compendium is finally at a state where I only need to slowly update it over time, I can do quest work, yay! ... meaning we're delaying to September. I know, delays suck, but now that the source of my ability to create quests faster is done, this really should be done by September.
