Last of January Announcements

Annnd it's week 2 of our Weekly Announcements! We've got 4 quests coming up on the weekend, two of which are continued, one that's a spinoff, and the other being new. Unfortunately, I do not have anything for this past weekend's new player group. What I'll probably be doing for the time being is running alternating sets of 2-3 session quests between all the various groups of players and characters, so that new player group should get something the following weekend.

About that HD quest

For those of you wondering... "What's that big Hidden Duality quest you promised us? Where is it?" Well, it is still in the works... I keep thinking up new things I want to add, so that keeps delaying it, along with whether I'm moving anytime soon or not. The other issue I've been pondering for a while is how to properly start it, and my solution is as thus...


Hidden Duality has already technically started. Any quests from now on will start digging into its roots, so as I do these quests for everyone, I'm providing everyone with hints and potentially goals for the upcoming mega quest. That way, the start of it won't be a huge mess, given that it really is simultaneously for every character at once. As for its start, I'll be railroading an event that will occur offscreen to everyone (unless someone figures out where and when that event is going to be), which will be the announcement thread, and that'll start it off officially.

Quest Threads

From now on, expect quest threads to look a lot nicer and actually stay up to date, ala synopsis stuff, and our ever favorite Moments and Deaths. Might even add a Quotes section, for those good one-liners and just overall awesome conversations. The Prelude quest thread will be getting an overhaul soon. The Escort quest and the Sheikah Trial are up-to-date with the new quest thread standards.

How far behind are those Moments and Deaths?

Really really far behind. I think they both stopped roughly around September, at least for quests I've run. However, after deleting my log caused it to reappear with all the weird errors fixed, going back through to add all those is going to be a lot easier on my part now, as that was one of the things holding me back. They'll probably randomly show up in batches over the next month.

Here's the quest schedule for the weekend!

• Prelude Alternative - Friday, January 31st from 9pm to 11:30pm CST, for Kappa and potentially others.
  
• The Final Shard - Saturday, February 1st from 8pm to 11pm CST, for Sephiroth.
  
• Prelude Alternative - Sunday, February 2nd from 8pm to 10:30pm CST, for Kappa Yagami, Neon Mercilion, and Serikka Tonatsu.
  • This is continuation of Friday's quest.
• Sheikah Trials - Monday, February 3rd from 9:30pm to 12:30am CST, for Darte Fellshard, Dex Eyegouger, Kirran, and Red Enrics.
  • This has moved from Sunday to Monday, due to a very popular event involving a Superb Owl.
• Prelude - Tuesday, February 4th from 12pm to 2:30pm CST, for Joseph Lightwall and Garrett Ironfist.

Up next week, incoming changes on a few items, namely dealing with Armor Damage and Shield Damage, possibly more.

Thanks! I may go through and update all quest threads (of quests I ran) with these things. However, I won't necessarily remember who was involved, so the only issue with that is I'll probably just say "a group" if I don't remember everyone off hand.
