RE: 2.0 WIP Changelogs - Orithan - 01-15-2016

Version 0.0.11:
  • Double Cast is going to be nerfed or nuked, most likely the former. Don't expect it to stay for much longer. has been nuked due to it causing massive balancing issues. Edit by Orithan on 1/16/2016.
  • Bouncing Strike has been nerfed: It no longer works on Magic attacks (lulz look at that PSI Flare bouncing off someone) and the rebounded attack no longer carries any EFFECTS the original attack had.
  • Mind Backlash's effect has been clarified to make it more clear that it also takes the bonus Wisdom stat of the target in ATTACK 1 when rolling against the target in ATTACK 2.
  • Red Potions and Green Potions now have the option of recovering 10 Hearts and 10 Magic respectively or the old option of restoring half of your Maximum Hearts and Magic respectively.
  • Arcane Robe and Heavy Robe, robes which correspond to the Magic and Power stats respectively, have been added into the Global Shop.
  • Quick Switch has been nerfed: You can now only swap out one of your Handheld Items with an item you are capable of holding in one hand. Now the hilariously broken combo of Quick Switch + Darknut Strength + Dual Heavy Shields + Heavy Armor for a total of +32 Defense Dice and +9 Armor when going from an offensive powerhouse, among others, are no longer possible. Version 0.0.12
  • Darknut Strength and Phasing has been both removed from Global Shop and thus are no longer usable by players due to them both causing serious balancing issues (like what Double Cast did). Tip of the day - Don't give players access to enemy passive skills.
  • Masks are now buyable from the Global Shop
  • Guard and Boost have their Magic costs upped to 3 w/o their affinity and 2 w/ their affinity. Their buy/sell price have also been increased accordingly
  • Corrected a wording issue with Haste

Version 0.2.0:
  • HAHAH, SUCK IT VERSIONS 0.13 THROUGH 0.19!
  • Global Shop overhaaaaaaul! A bunch of items that no one was using got nuked, some skills no one was using got nuked, some spells that people miiiight have been using got nuked or changed (if their Magic Cost went down, see the refund list below; this does not apply in reverse to Magic Costs that went up), changes to everything, just all kinds of fun and fun stuff! Needless to say, everyone that wants to play in the test sessions, go update.
  • Spells are switched back to affinity requirements.
  • Stat Point Blessing is reduced from +5 Stat Points to +4 Stat Points.

I may have missed a few spells, so if you have a spell that you can no longer find in the Global Shop, nuke it, and refund Rupees equal to its Magic Cost * 50.

Version 0.2.1
  • Limit Armor has been added to the Global Shop. Have more pain and suffering, glass cannons. FYI, careful attention will be placed on this armor in regards to balance.
  • Red Wizzrobe has been added to the compendium.
  • The PSI Concentrate and PSI Disperse skills have been added into the Global Shop

Version 0.2.2:
  • We now have an Artifacts page and an Item Drops page!
  • Fairies got a change on their wording. They're no longer forcibly used when you die; instead, it's now optional. Yoink the updated version from the Item Drops page.
  • More and more enemies have been added. It is stupidly easy to set-up an Improv Dungeon now. Just grab the codes off the enemies you want, stick it in a list, it's done. Only takes a few minutes. And if that's the case, setting up a quest will be far easier than before.
  • Lynels felt a little weak on Fierce Combat. That has been fixed. Enjoy fighting them!
  • Miyoa's Magical Enchantment now applies to EFFECTS period, not just Status Effects.

Version 0.2.3:
  • From now on, if something gets changed in the Compendium, the code will be linked here rather than making players go searching. There should not be any more wide-scale balance changes (aka, anything more than 30 balance changes in a patch). In general, once the re-release hits, we're going to be avoiding balance patches except on big releases; otherwise, expect balance updates only if something is broken.
  • Sephiroth has updated Navi. You can check that out here.

Balance Changes
  • Gels no longer have the Gooey passive skill, aka halve incoming Magic-based damage.
  • Veil of Flames has been reduced from 3 Magic to 2 Magic; however, the auto-damage it causes has been reduced from 2 Neutral Damage to 1 Neutral Damage.
    • Also, refund 50 Rupees.
  • Phantom Wand's Dispersed Shot now only siphons 2 Wisdom per target hit, down from 3 Wisdom.
  • Bombs' Group attack option now 'Bypasses Cover'

  • Various enemies got various tweaks, both in balance and format consistency.

  • Enrage can now only be used once per battle. Enrage stacking, you were fun while you lasted, but it shouldn't be outright superior to Flare Up.

Version 0.2.5:
  • New bows and arrows (plus Active Skills pertaining to them)! Also balance updates for a handful of Counterattack Skills. For these updates, please hit up the Global Shop Weapons page for the new bows and Arrows while taking a detour to the Global Shop Skills page for the new bow-related active skills.

Balance Changes
  • Basic Counter and Specific Counter have their Point Costs decreased from 2 to 1 and the three Counter Window skills decreased from 3 to 2. Buy/Sell prices have been adjusted accordingly and anyone who brought these skills will be refunded 100 Rupees for each of these skills brought.
  • Single Retaliate has it's Point Cost increased from 3 to 4. Buy/Sell prices have been adjusted accordingly.

Version 0.2.6:
  • All three of the Roulette spells (Leech Roulette, Hope Roulette and Death Roulette) have been nuked, for introducing a very unhealthy element of luck into the game. Though, in their place, there will be other shenanigany spells. Those who brought the Roulette spells should be refunded the full amount of Rupees they brought them with.
  • New spells that can revive are now in the game. They are all available in the Global Shop
    • Revival Beam is a powerful charge-based spell that can revive a dead target to 10 Hearts
    • Frozen Shell keeps a record of your stats on reviving it, until the start of the next round where it will partially reset your status to then (if you die before then, you instead revive to 3 Hearts at the start of the next round).
    • Life Exchange halves one of your base stats and revives a target to the amount of stats you lost.

Balance Changes
  • Immolation Shockwave's IF FAIL clause has been removed and now only hits enemies; it is now just a very powerful AoE spell that hits for halved damage.
  • Heat Wave has been nerfed; It now only deals 2 Neutral Damage at the start of each round and now only kills off the weak if they are at 2 Hearts or less.

Version 0.2.7:
  • Sephiroth is working on a new theme for the website! You can check out a preview of it here, so look forward to it!
  • Camouflage can go screw itself. And by that, I mean see the changelog below.

Balance Changes
  • Camouflage has been reworded from "cannot be targeted" to "cannot be targeted by single-target actions". So yes, "hit all enemies" will now hit someone in Camouflage.
  • Additionally, you can no longer Cover or be Covered while Camouflaged.
