The Bandit King, Thoughter has amassed a large army of Keaton and is threatening to take over Hyrule! Already having the eastern regions under his control, he is preparing his army for taking on Central Hyrule! While not a threat right now, due to the presence of several formidable defensive forces that can thwart his march like the Zora and Kokiri, he could be gaining power at a concerning rate; through reports of multiple exploration teams affiliated with them exploring the land to searching for Artifacts. Should nothing be done about him, he might uncover a Legendary Artifact or two that might give him the power to break through these defenses and begin his attack on Central Hyrule - especially with the chaos already brewing in Hyrule.
This is where you, the player characters come in. The Hylian Guard has sent out a letter to all new and upcoming Adventurers for a request to, with the help of local armies, undergo a Campaign to bring down Thoughter and his army of bandits. You, the players, have responded to this letter and have taken on the Campaign to overthrow the Bandit King, Thoughter or at least cause the army to crumble. Good luck to all involved.
If you take on this Campaign, you are expected to follow through with it. If the whole party drops out and you can’t continue the Campaign as a result, the players actively dropping out may have a bounty placed on their heads for deserting depending on the circumstances, as the Hylian Guard is giving the players some of their already limited resources and they would like to not see it be given away in vain.
Below is a box containing the starting equipment the Hylian Guard has issued for the party
Below is a box listing the rewards that you may get for completing the campaign:
You may keep all of the Artifacts Thoughter had in his possession.
Any Mythical Artifacts and Legendary Artifacts you took from his possession must be handed to the Hylian Guard, who will then return them to their original owners or keep them on hold. If you happen to uncover these tiered Artifacts on your own and not from defeating Thoughter, then you may keep them.
1 Lost Skill Scroll or 1 Lost Spell Scroll for each player
A Fairy for each player.
Success, the player manages to kill Thoughter:
The bounty on his head - 12,500 Rupees.
This is split between all players involved, resulting in 4,136 Rupees to 3,125 Rupees for each player.

Starting items
- 500 Rupees for each player
- A Full Restoration Potion between the whole party.
- Two Seeds of any type for each player.
- Two Ten-Sided Coins between the party
- These are the only Ten-Sided Coins you will get for the whole campaign. Use them with care!
- Oh, and fair warning on this one; Flip them at your own risk. If you die or screw everything up as a result, don’t complain to me about it. They are here in case you want to tempt fate to make things more interesting for both the players and DM...

Campaign Ruleset
- You must create new characters for this campaign. Pre-existing characters are not permitted unless you are doing a sidequest. They may join in the last two quests for the campaign if the DM deems them to be balanced for the quest. Additionally, this quest is also designed for players new to ZURPG and is designed to be their first ZURPG campaign.
- Permadeath is turned OFF. Fallen characters will revive to 1 Heart at the end of a battle if you survive and can retrieve them. If you can’t retrieve their bodies and pull them to safety or you meet a party wipe, they will respawn… where you first started the quest at 3 Hearts and 3 Magic. If you happen to meet a party wipe, expect your current mission to fail before you respawn, so let’s not die guys.
- Mercy is allowed. If you would otherwise kill a target with an attack, you can optionally leave them at 1 Heart, but Incapacitated. An Incapacitated target has any Regen they have shut off and can’t use Actions for a while or until they recover to more than 1 Heart.
- Party Splits are permitted. Up to one party split is allowed per active quest. Attempt any more and well I might just remove the people causing them until everyone rejoins the main party.
- Changing Sides is permitted. If you somehow want to defect to the Keaton Army, you may switch to their side and fight the other players. Don’t abuse this though, as neither the Hylian Guard or the Keaton Army may trust you afterwards.
- Only One Character Per Player is allowed for this campaign. This is to prevent players from taking up multiple slots in the roster.
