When you try to hit "Quick Edit" on your profile, you should see quite a bit of BB code. For those of you that don't know, BB code works like this.
There is a start tag and an end tag. They should be nearly identical, but the end tag will include a "/". Everything between those two tags will be affected by the change it causes. Due to some modifications that Sephiroth has made however, you might notice that this isn't true for all code. For example, your stats line:
It's a tag that includes a whole lot of stuff and then an end tag that refers only to the first word "[/stats]". To see a list of all of the custom tags, check out the Formatting Information Thread. However, do note that you mostly likely won't have to write any BB code yourself, as it'll mostly be copy+paste.

If you need to edit things in your profile, use Quick Edit. Something about Full Edit will throw all the 'list' codes on their own line, plus if you have certain bb code incorrect, it will actually attempt to add bb code in random places in an attempt to compensate. So just use Quick Edit when editing your profile.
Let's say you want to add the White Sword to your profile. When you try to buy the item from the Global Shop's Items, you'll be able to go to Weapons --> Courage-based --> Swords --> White Sword --> Buy this sword. Copy the block of text inside the Code box.
Go back to your profile (keep multiple tabs open so you can switch easily). Click Quick Edit. In between the Items tags, you'll see that you already have the Steel Sword there.
Click between the last [/box] and [/Items], and press enter twice (it's easier to read when editing if things are spaced out). Then paste the White Sword in. In your "stats" tag up top, deduct 150 Rupees from your total. When you are done, you can finish editing. When you are adding items, make sure they're within the correct section. The same holds true with everything else.
Go back to your profile (keep multiple tabs open so you can switch easily). Click Quick Edit. In between the Items tags, you'll see that you already have the Steel Sword there.

That's all there is to adding stuff to your profile. It's "copy+paste" and subtract the required Rupees. If you don't have the Rupees, then you can't buy the item yet.
