9-15-15: Affinity System changed... again - WindStrike - 09-15-2015

This week, we actually have some stuff on the Changelog. Ideally, I try to avoid doing any changes unless there's something game breaking or something that makes no sense, so for future head's up notice, big Changelogs should only happen once every few months at best, and by "big", I mean filled with a bunch of minor changes + various additions. Additionally, the Affinity System changed... again. The system we were running off of previously worked in the early game, but mid-late game ran into an issue with Level 1 Affinities being overpowered for defensive purposes, plus if you did something like Fire (Level: 8) vs. Nature (Level: 8), it would've resulted in +0 Successes... which is stupid, cause you'd get the same thing with Fire (Level: 8) vs. Light (Level: 8), which has no relation.

Anyways, to read the new system, just head over to the Rules & Knowledge thread and read the Affinities section.

Changelog
  • Affinity Level-Up was renamed to Level Efficiency, and its second effect of decreasing non-affinity level requirements by 3 for spells was buffed to "by 5 and for everything except any variant of Level Efficiency".
    • With this, Level Down (Passive Booster) was removed.
    • If you had either Affinity Level-Up or Level Down, replace it with Level Efficiency.
  • Rupee Gatherer was renamed to Drop Scavenger and now includes Random Item Drops as part of the bonus 0d# roll. It has now has a restriction that only one Drop Scavenger among a group of players will work.
    • The old version of Drop Scavenger (Support Skill) was removed.
    • If you had either Rupee Gatherer or Drop Scavenger, replace it with the new version of Drop Scavenger.

Onto to this week's quests! Two of the ones from last week got the delay button, hence why there's still two "Part 1's".

Ordeal in Ordon, Part 2
On Friday, September 18th, at 3:30pm CST, we'll be continuing the quest Ordeal in Ordon for the following group: Session is expected to last roughly 2.5 hours.
Dungeon of Madness, Part 1
On Saturday, September 19th at 9:30pm CST, we'll be running a shenaniganous quest called Dungeon of Madness, for the following player group: Session should last the usual time of roughly 2.5 hours.
Initiates to the Flock, Part 1
On Tuesday, September 22th, we'll be running the quest Initiates to the Flock for... *sighducks*... certain players. Still awaitin' profiles before I post up the group involved. The tentative time is set to 8:30pm CST, though that time might change depending on schedulin' stuff. It's expected to last the standard session time of roughly 2.5 hours.

All of these sessions are up on the Calendar.
