Lizalfos Clans - WindStrike - 09-11-2015

Intro
Lizalfos are a curious race. They're essentially oversized lizards that normally walk on two feet, and they're often equipped with light-weight gear that lets them be agile while killing the heck out of anything they come in contact with. They're also a bit of a hunting species, as they have a tendency to prey on their victims and make sure they don't leave before dying, unless they're contracted not to kill something. Though, within the Lizalfos, they have different ways of hunting people, and as a result, it's caused a divide. The number of clans still continues to grow as the split in groups declares their names.
Clans
By far the largest clan of the Lizalfos is the Edgeclaw Clan. Got enough spikes? Clearly not. Every single piece of equipment they have either has spikes, serrated edges, or both. This includes their shields and armors. There's even a few that wear specially woven robes, where the cloth is so rough, it naturally cuts up anything that comes in contact with. The strongest of the Edgeclaws can literally shoot spikes from their skin. If hedgehogs existed in the Zelda universe, their quills would be jealous of Edgeclaws.

As great as Edgeclaws are at hunting, they're unfortunately the dumbest of the clans. Ever heard of a spellcasting Edgeclaw? That's because it doesn't exist. They exist purely for the hunt, and as such, they're often recruited or hired as Bounty Hunters. Sometimes, they can even be called forth as an army, but only if they're going to be taking another army down.

While Edgeclaws roam the lands and exist everywhere, they do have a home up in the northern part of Death Mountain, known as the Lava Lands. It is extremely likely they're working with Balrog in order to take down the Gorons, because what better hunt is there than a bunch of rock people?
Unlike the Edgeclaws, the Eyegougers are rather intelligent, though they use their intelligence towards poking holes in the plot in people, specifically by gouging out peoples' eyes. While they make good party companions, they have a tendency to go out of their way to derail the plot make their enemies miserable, which, in turn, can affect the sanity of their allies. Usually, Eyegougers are quite agile, because how else are you going to latch onto someone's face and gouge their eyes out with their larger-than-average thumbs of gouging doom?

Eyegougers are smaller in size, sometimes even smaller than Kokiri. They've got dark-colored scales, kind of like a smoky shade of almost black. Yes, that's a thing. Due to their thumbs, they're also able to climb terrain and make DMs cry. As a result, other Lizalfos Clans will hire Eyegougers as spies. The downside of this is Eyegougers just love to gouge out eyes. Sometimes, it's gets too hard to resist such deliciously bulging eyes that are- OOPS THEY'RE OUT ALREADY, I GUESS THIS SPYING MISSION DIDN'T WORK OUT SO WELL, GOTTA GO FOLKS!
WIP
While Lizalfos aren't particularly known for breathing Fire, they most certainly can, and the Firekin Clan amps it up by making sure their victims don't just burn to a crisp - enemies of the Firekin Clan must be burninated upon the sundering flames of a combusting inferno of a scorching conflagrating blaze of death. Overkill is their best friend, and sometimes, they're known for making elaborate traps just to LET THE GALAXY BURN! Not that they know what a galaxy is... they just have a tendency to say it for some reason. I wonder why.

Since the Edgeclaws became jerks and monopolized the Lava Lands, the Firekin had to make their living elsewhere. So they moved to Subrosia and have been living in the volcanoes. Supposedly, the stronger ones are capable of bathing and swimming in lava like Subrosians. Firekin and Subrosians aren't exactly best buds, but occasionally they'll have Lava Surfing races.

The issue with Firekins is their intelligence. They're smart... but sometimes, they're too smart. They will go out of their way to point out logical inconsistencies with anything they can think of, even bringing up a completely random topic out of nowhere just to point out what's wrong with it. As such, other Adventurers usually steer clear of partying with them. ... unless they're completely unaware of it. And then it's too late.
