Questionable Spells - WindStrike - 09-10-2015
I've been running over the spells lately, and some of them have very questionable usefulness, aka so situational, what the heck are the odds they'll be useful?
- RESTRICTIONS: This is a Revival Spell, and it cannot be used to target someone that is already under the effects of a Revival Spell.
- REQUIREMENTS: Nature (Level: 1)
- COSTS: 4 Magic
- DESCRIPTION: Turn someone into a plant! Just make sure 'e's dead first, eh?
- EFFECT: Transform a corpse into a Seed of Life:
- Target turns into a seed, which is planted into the ground, starting at 1 Heart.
- Every time someone recovers Hearts, the seed recovers Hearts equal to half that amount.
- If the seed's Hearts reaches the target's Maximum Hearts, the seed blooms, reviving the target to Maximum Hearts.
- DURATION: Seed of Life lasts until either the seed dies or the target is revived.
- REQUIREMENTS: Level 10 and Light (Level: 3)
- COSTS: 5 Magic
- DESCRIPTION: Envelop the entire field in a warm bath of Light that cleanses everyone's souls.
- EFFECT 1: Remove one stack of any Affliction from everyone.
- EFFECT 2: Everyone recovers Hearts equal to #, where # = your Total Affinity Levels
- REQUIREMENTS: Shadow (Level: 1)
- COSTS: 4 Magic and half of your Current Hearts
- DESCRIPTION: Channel part of your lifeforce into a cloud.
- EFFECT: Summon the Spirit Cloud Field Effect:
- When this comes into play, cancel out and remove a Light-based Field Effect.
- The cloud expands outwards above the field, allowing anyone with Shadow affinity to siphon Hearts from it at any time.
- The cloud's Hearts are equal to twice the Hearts cost of casting this spell.
DURATION: The cloud lasts until it runs out of Hearts.
Actually, Spirit Reserves is arguably busted, cause it cancels out the Hearts cost. But the other two are pretty questionable. Anyone got suggestions for updating/altering 'em?

- REQUIREMENTS: Level 20 and Nature (Level: 3)
- COSTS: 6 Magic

- Target turns into a seed, which is planted into the ground, starting at 2 Hearts and 2 Armor. For each turn that passes, the seed recovers 2 Hearts and gains 2 Armor.
- DURATION: Until the end of your next turn, at which point the target revives with Hearts equal to the amount the Seed of Life had by that point.
- RESTRICTIONS: This is a Revival Spell, and it cannot be used to target someone that is already under the effects of a Revival Spell.
- REQUIREMENTS: Level 40 and Nature (Level: 5)
- COSTS: 8 Magic
- DESCRIPTION: Turn someone into a plant! Just make sure 'e's dead first, eh?
- EFFECT: Transform a corpse into a Seed of Life:
- Target turns into a seed, which is planted into the ground, starting at 3 Hearts and 3 Armor. For each turn that passes, the seed recovers 3 Hearts and gains 3 Armor.
- DURATION: Until the end of your next turn, at which point the target revives with Hearts equal to the amount the Seed of Life had by that point.
- REQUIREMENTS: Level 10 and Light (Level: 3)
- COSTS: 5 Magic
- DESCRIPTION: A warm bath of Light descends on a target, healing him.
- EFFECT 1: Target recovers 7 Hearts + #, where # = your Total Affinity Levels
- EFFECT 2: Remove one stack of an Affliction from the target.
- REQUIREMENTS: Level 30 and Light (Level: 5)
- COSTS: 8 Magic
- DESCRIPTION: A warm bath of Light descends on a target, healing him.
- EFFECT 1: Target recovers 12 Hearts + #, where # = your Total Affinity Levels
- EFFECT 2: Remove two stacks of any Affliction from the target.
- This can target multiple Afflictions, but it can only remove a maximum of two stacks total.
- REQUIREMENTS: Level 50 and Light (Level: 7)
- COSTS: 11 Magic
- DESCRIPTION: A warm bath of Light descends on a target, healing him.
- EFFECT 1: Target recovers 17 Hearts + #, where # = your Total Affinity Levels
- EFFECT 2: Remove three stacks of any Affliction from the target.
- This can target multiple Afflictions, but it can only remove a maximum of three stacks total.
