[Villain] Bloodwind - WindStrike - 08-24-2015

The Adventurer Known as Wind
When Ganondorf was defeated, a number of people were captivated by Link's actions and heroism and wanted to be just like him, a hero that could save the land from great peril, and thus the Adventuring business started. One of the first ones to join this business was someone by the name of Wind, a man with bright, red hair that was known for his kindness and his eagerness to help others. He often ended up being the cover man of the party, taking and blocking attacks of his own accord. He was also once great friends with Hyrule City's shopkeep, Monroe Goodman. However, it didn't last forever...
Escort Mission
Shortly after Magic had become widespread, Wind was one of the first to harness its powers, and eventually, he developed an ability that would create a massive veil of darkness, preventing anyone but himself from seeing within the shroud. The idea was to use it on a group of bandits, then have his party throw a bunch of nets and disabling abilities into the shroud, so that they could capture the bandits and turn them in.

Wind and his party took on a quest to escort someone, a Hylian named Eli. His caravan got constantly raided by bandits in Hyrule Field, and he needed some strong fellows to protect him. As expected, during the trip to Lake Hylia, a large group of bandits attacked. The party lured the bandits a little bit away from the caravan before proceeding with Wind's plan. However, things didn't go as planned...
Blood and Darkness
When Wind summoned the veil of darkness, it covered more than just a part of the bandits. It enveloped a large area, easily covering the bandits and his party, and Eli was barely able to escape it himself. All he could hear was the screams of everyone from inside, followed by complete silence. It seemed like an eternity to him before the silence passed when the veil of darkness fell. He saw Wind, soaked in blood and standing among the severed corpses of both his allies and the bandits. When Wind turned towards Eli, all the poor man could remember was two red, glowing eyes staring out of a veil of darkness in place of his face. He was the only one to escape the slaughter, spreading the fear of the story far and wide to the rest of Hyrule. What was once a kind Adventurer named Wind was no more, and soon, people referred to him as Bloodwind.
On a Hunt for Artifacts
It's unknown what actually happened to Wind, but when he became Bloodwind, he seemingly disappeared for about a year. Then, he reappeared in Termina, supposedly chasing after Artifacts. During his hunt for these Artifacts, he apparently left a trail of blood behind him, primarily through bandits, but it was quite noticeable. Soon, a bounty was placed on him, first by Bandits, then Adventurers, and eventually, the entirety of Hyrule was chasing him, though it may have been due to how high his bounty got. Increasingly stronger people began to chase him as a result, until eventually even Mido of the Kokiri and Impa of the Sheikah ended up trying to chase him. They got close on a number of occasions, yet Bloodwind continued to remain illusive.
Humor Me
Somewhere along the line, he started to show some sort of personality, despite the slaughter he'd supposedly committed. While on the run, he developed a new set of spells called Illusion Magic, which allowed him to not only escape with ease, but blend into society as if no one was chasing him. According to Lord Gustaf, Bloodwind had used an illusion to show up as a new Hylian Guard recruit, only to reveal himself and then leave by leaving an injured Cucco with Gustaf. As a result, Gustaf himself personally increased the bounty against Bloodwind by 10,000 Rupees. Other important figures from around the land have received similar incidents of "trolling".
Personal Villain
Despite all the hatred towards Bloodwind that the entirety of Hyrule and Termina seems to have for him, he's only considered a major threat because of the slaughter that turned him into Bloodwind in the first place. Beyond that, he supposedly hasn't done anything worse than other major villains like Agahnim, Dracula, Thoughter, or Orland. However, to certain Adventurers, he's become something of a personal villain, intentionally showing up just to mock them. Among these includes Sephiroth, Hal Hunter, and Alucard, all of whom seem to bear both an extreme fear and hatred towards Bloodwind. Worst of all is his old friend, Monroe Goodman, who can't stand even the thought of Bloodwind.
Dan Kaze
During a quest to the old and decrepit Hyrule Castle Town, Sephiroth encountered a man very adept at illusions by the name of Dan Kaze. Monroe accompanied Sephiroth, at first believing Dan Kaze to be Bloodwind due to how similar he looked to what used to be Wind, but upon noticing how weak he was outside of the ability to cast illusions, they believed it was someone different. Together, they were able to defeat a very powerful Interloper Poe.
Dan Kaze and Lightwall
For the most part, after the quest, Dan Kaze just lounged around in Hyrule City, occasionally chatting with Monroe and Shady. However, he received a request from Lord Gustaf to accompany a young man by the name of Joseph Lightwall in order to infiltrate the Followers of Wisdom. Gustaf believed Dan Kaze's ability to cast illusions maintain a private Telepathic Link to Lightwall would prove to be extremely helpful for this infiltration, and as the quest unfolded, the illusions became crucial just to survive.

Dan Kaze and Lightwall grew a friendship and became comrades as they bluffed their way through each trial, yet the further they infiltrated, Lightwall seemed to be growing increasingly suspicious of Dan Kaze. Right around the time he believed something was off, he got information that some of the leaders of the Followers of Wisdom believed Bloodwind somehow found a way to infiltrate their base. Lightwall attempted to confront Dan Kaze by using an illusion breaking spell on him, which would theoretically kill any disguise, but apparently, there was no disguise, and he continued to remain Dan Kaze.
A Maze With No Clues, Yet All Clues
Dan Kaze found out about a room at the bottom of the lair, and could contain the greatest secrets of the Followers of Wisdom. With nothing else to go by, Lightwall decided to follow Dan Kaze down there. They ended up in a maze with absolutely no clues to follow, yet... for some reason, Dan Kaze knew exactly where to go and how to navigate it. By the time Lightwall confronted Dan Kaze's suspicious activity, they reached the bottom, where they found the great leader of the Followers of Wisdom - Onok Orland.
True Identity
At that point, Dan Kaze activated something that revealed himself as Bloodwind, and he began to battle with Orland. Nearby was a powerful artifact, which Lightwall used to fight them. Out of the rage towards Bloodwind for deceiving him through "fake friendship", he dealt a near-lethal blow to him, knocking him out in a single attack. He then attempted to take down Orland after finding out just how evil this man was (someone far worse than anything Bloodwind had done so far), but with the Black Dragon spell, Orland fended off Lightwall. He escaped with the powerful artifact, though he supposedly got help from Bloodwind's voice, who had disappeared in the chaos.
Recovery
It's unknown what exactly happen to Bloodwind after nearly getting killed by the power of the artifact Lightwall used, but it seems quite evident that he's out cold for a while. It's unknown how long he'll be out, or even what he'll do when he returns. Hopefully though, he'll be out during the upcoming war against the Followers of Wisdom, which is bound to happen quite soon...
