Restrictions on Basic Skills - Orithan - 07-30-2015

Basic

As it says on the tin, I am voting to include requirements on the Basic Skills selection. Given they are a staple on both enemies and players around, the way they are now could mean ridiculous stuff like Gels could somehow Punch or Kick someone for the lulz because there are no restrictions against it.

Suggested requirements:
  • Cover: Being able to move
  • Escape: Being able to move
  • Punch: A free hand
  • Kick: Two legs
  • Taunt: Being able to speak in the same language as the target
  • Throw: A free hand.

With these restrictions being in place, enemies can no longer do silly shenanigans like Skulltulas taunting players but they can still Cover others. On addition, we no longer have to list long effects on stuff like Afflictions like disabling Escape or Cover when we can simply say "movement is disabled" or stuff along those lines.

That's all for the suggestion.

So you can't just randomly use psychic powers to place a random object in front of your ally?

Would oddly flexible objects that can have a good grip count?

What if you are on stilts?

What about tentacles?

This post is not to be taken seriously. The only purpose for this post is to be highly stupid and pointless while still being curious (maybe). Have a nice day and stay safe. Also, I'm a piece of trash, so thanks for any compliments you give me.
