Modules - WindStrike - 02-04-2015

Alright folks, we're behind on work if we're to revive the game in July, so I'm going to be changing how we work towards that goal by introducing Modules. A Module is a section of the overall project that utilizes a standardized format for anyone to contribute ideas and content. ... okay, I'll stop being fancy.

For our first Module, I've opened up a sub-form in the Help Board called Kakariko Village. Inside is a sticky'd thread called Kakariko Village Module. This thread contains the first draft of the map so far, and a brief description of the locations, NPCs, groups, and other things. So far, it's primarily using material from Ocarina of Time, but as we all work on it and add more things, it'll clearly be based off the Ocarina of Time version, but expanded with lots of additions and personal touches. I should have threads for each individual topic up within the next few days.

To help work on these modules, our Storyboard Meetings are going to conform to whatever the current module is. We're still going with a Thursday / Sunday schedule for now.

Modules should be changing out every few weeks. It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but with a focused effort towards content from anyone willing to contribute, we should be work much more quickly and efficiently than before, and hopefully, we'll have at least OoT Hyrule done by the July revival. Further areas will be focused on afterwards and released as expansions. That said, I ask that anyone working on a non-OoT Hyrule area switches their efforts towards the current Module. If we don't have at least one fully working world by July, we don't have what would be considered "a full game", and we'll be back to having downtimes again.

FYI, I'll get Kakariko Graveyard up next week, as an attachment to the current Module.
