[Villain] Silvio Hunter - Orithan - 01-08-2015
Silvio is a contract assassin who is well known everywhere around the known world, bar the alternate dimensions (Subrosia, Termina, etc), and is Hal's long lost brother. This haddaken has been responsible for carrying out the murders of many people, some of whom were enemies of Bloodwind. This, him being adept at avoiding law enforcement and his alliance with Bloodwind, has lead to him being high on the wanted list in several places, especially Central Hyrule.
Silvio is distinguished by his shiny silver fur coat, which he is named after. This makes him easy to see, even in a large crowd. Despite this, he is usually never seen unless hunting someone and almost never seen before he has actually carried out the killing. For this reason; his presence is often a indicator of a nearby assassination which, of course, he committed. He specializes in Light affinity magic and usually carries a unique longbow around with him to assassinate his targets from afar, though he packs other weapons for use if he gets into a pickle.
Being a contract assassin, you can actually hire Silvio to assassinate someone if you are crazy enough and have the money to do so. If you are looking into hiring his services simply PM Orithan and perhaps you can arrange something. Provided it is reasonable, he will consider the request and may offer a price. He decides the price he is willing to work for with each individual request; it will change depending based off multiple factors (eg. difficulty in assassinating the target, how much will it put him at risk, the character's status, etc).
Before you ask him anything, here is the list of characters that Silvio will unquestionably refuse to take requests to assassinate:
- Any Player Characters (No, not even Hal Hunter)
- Any members of the Royal Family
- Any of the Six Sages or Seven Wise Men (eg. Sasharala)
- Bloodwind and anyone directly connected to him (eg. Summer Night)
- The Subrosian Poes (Shady, Fraaz, Blaaz)
- Shiek
- Monroe Goodman
- Mima
- Ares or Tessa Farlon
Sylvester Hunter was born to the Hunter family, a family of Haddaken known for their skills in adventuring around in the land of Koholint, along with his brother Hal Hunter in Animal Village. He was always the domineering one, but he always treated his siblings with care and respect until a certain incident happened. The nature of it is not known, but it set a nasty spark inside him.
He lured Hal out to a lake on the outskirts of the village and started having a conversation with him. The conversation went fine at first, with Sylvester by pretending to admit defeat and acknowledge that he was wrong about his psychotic attitude. Before too long however, as Hal placed no trust in him to become better, tensions rose before he finally decided to put his plan in motion and start wrestling him into the lake and holding his head underwater to drown him. His mother caught him in the act and was able to save Hal from a possible death.
From this moment onwards, he was banished from Animal Village and was left in Ukulu Prairie to fend off monsters and the natural environment by himself. For the residents of Animal Village, they hoped that this, if he lived this ordeal, would set him straight as he matured. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
Not long after being banished from Animal Village, Sylvester came across a hideout for members of the then small Oath of the Windfish cult hidden in Ukulu Prairie. He explored it at first before getting caught by one of the cultists when they returned, who were initially startled and angry at his intrusion. This changed when Gradius, the cult's leader, returned to the hideout to see Sylvester being crowded into a corner by his cultists. Instantly Gradius recognized Sylvester's face and offered him to join the cult, an offer which the intruder decided to take.
While in the Oath of the Windfish; Sylvester was personally trained by Gradius to become the cult's sentry instead of devoting his life to worshiping the Windfish as the all reigning god like most of the other cultists, despite also being taught the cult's teachings. In the process of becoming a sentry, Sylvester learned how to sniff out and hunt down potential escapees and intruders within the cult and eventually how to become an assassin. Gradius was impressed at his progress in becoming an assassin and eventually offered him a position as the Gradius' personal assassin, whose purpose was to assassinate people as ordered by him. It was at this point Sylvester opted to change his name to Silvio, to help hide his original identity to formally become an assassin.
However pleased he was from starting up his assassination career, Silvio wanted to become more than Gradius' hired gun; especially after he discovered his overall plan...
Not long before the portal to Hyrule opened up inside the Windfish' Egg, Silvio made a shocking discovery in relation to Gradius' intentions - Gradius wanted to use the power he garnered from his cult to take over Koholint and then destroy it by killing The Nightmare. Deciding that he would not put up with it, Silvio set out to assassinate Gradius himself, double-crossing him in the process.
Little did Silvio know that Gradius was prepared for someone to attack him, as the cult leader managed to evade the initial stabbing and fight back. Once Gradius was able to fight back against his assassin, Silvio ended up completely outmatched in the face of the combined power of the cultists and Gradius Magical power. Barely escaping with his life, Silvio ran away from the cult and hid away deep in Tal Tal Heights to hone his assassination skills before attempting again.
When the portal inside the Windfish' Egg opened up, Silvio was among the first to take it - allowing him a quick and safe entry into Hyrule and away from the cult. This also had the bonus of getting away from any bounties he had on his home land... for a while until they caught up and multiple more were placed on his head.
Not long after his arrival in Hyrule, Hyrule also started placing bounties on Silvio with the arrivals of Hal Hunter and Mima; who reported him and his assassinations to the Hylian Guard. His cover already blown with the Hylian Guard and Adventurers after him, Silvio quickly made a getaway to Holodrum to provide some relief from being hunted down for a while. While over in Holodrum, Silvio started his assassination business back up; this time as a contract assassin working for himself and any clients he might have.
He was also caught and arrested over in Holodrum, only to show off his skills in evading law enforcement by escaping from prison in the next few days by using his Magic and scrap metal to create a set of makeshift Magnetic Gloves to pull the bars apart and escape from there. From then on he raided Unicorn Cavern with a party of bandits to pilfer the real Magnetic Gloves and then moved onto Labyrnnia then back to Hyrule.
Not long after returning to Hyrule, Silvio heard the story of Bloodwind and how he became a villain. Like everyone else, he was initially afraid of him; staying away out of the fear that he might randomly get killed, until Bloodwind himself needed assistance.
One time somewhere, Silvio was approached by Bloodwind and made a deal with him. It is not known what the deal was, but it involved delegating Silvio to assassinate any specific targets he needed dead and thus formed an alliance with him. Now under Bloodwind's banner, Silvio's first assassination target was Kieran Notham. This was someone who Bloodwind wanted dead.
Kieran was Knight of Light who gathered a party and went after Bloodwind, nearly managing to defeat him in combat. Not prepared for an actual fight, Silvio ambushed Kieran with little armor and protective equipment as he hoped this was an easy kill. This was a major mistake, as Kieran came armed and nearly destroyed him with a single blow. Silvio had to run and Bloodwind decided to pull him away from attacking Kieran.
Later on, Silvio set out to murder Koume in the Haunted Wasteland to prevent Twinrova from reforming at the request of a certain client. There, he tracked Koume to a haunted mansion south of the Spirit Temple and explored there. He was ambushed and defeated by his own Doppelganger.
He was then sent out of the mansion and left to wander the desert as a shadow and then posted a quest up in various places, asking people to go to the mansion and take down his Doppelganger for him so he can resume his hunt for Koume.
He succeeded in getting the adventurers' attention and they completed his request admirably, freeing him.
Later on, he got the attention of several other travelers and sent them out on an expedition through Gerudo Desert to find Koume and bring her to him so he could murder her.
However, he did not count on these travelers meeting Lord Garthan at an oasis deep in the desert, who was also looking for Koume upon Kotake's request. As a result, Silvio came face to face with Garthan instead of Koume like he asked for; who tried to arrest him. He barely managed to escape from Garthan and has never seen or heard from since until he went into the Water Temple to harass Thoughter.
Since his alliance with Bloodwind, he didn't get offered many assassination requests but those he was offered were for high-profile targets like Agahnim, which he rejected because performing such acts on such targets would have effectively meant suicide for him. The jobs he took, however, were the ones that were feasible to commit without either getting killed or having the whole of Hyrule after him. One of which was a second request to assassinate Kieran, given out by a Shiekah by the name of Korrin Yagami.
Came properly armed and protected against a powerful Kieran, this second assassination attempt ended in success with Silvio finishing him off with a Bomb Arrow. However, despite this success, Korrin bailed out on him without paying his money. As a result of this and the Hylian Guard revealing his ulterior motive of attempting to use his son, Kappa Yagami, as a pawn to expose the weak points the Royal Family had for others to capitalize on; Silvio developed a grudge against Korrin. He tracked Korrin down and tried to study him, but then a better target in the form of Thoughter appeared in the Water Temple...
Silvio set out to infiltrate the Water Temple to harass Thoughter by discreetly picking off his minions. After successfully picking several of them off, Thoughter discovered him hiding and gave chase until Matilda caught his eye as they fled from him. As a result, he was being chased by several Keaton before he ran into an exploration party who saved him from them.
This save did not work out to be entirely favorable for Silvio, as it also lead him straight into the hands of Ruto; who promptly arrested him and had her guards hold him until they were ready to turn him into the Hylian Guard.
Silvio has been imprisoned in Hyrule Castle Prison under the guard and jurisdiction of Princess Zelda herself. Based on his escape from prison back in Holodrum and his alliance with Bloodwind, he was placed under maximum security for good measure against his escape - His escape could cause issues if he reunites underneath Bloodwind's banner.
There are rumors abound about him and his potential to escape. Among them is that Gossip Stones are spreading the rumor "THEY SAY THAT SILVIO ALWAYS KNOWS ABOUT THE OUTSIDE WORLD" across Hyrule. Whatever this means is up to anyone's interpretation, but there are fears that he might have been silently plotting his next murder while in prison and that he had plans for an escape among some as a result.
With reports of Korrin Yagami starting his activity back up, the Hylian Guard turned to Silvio for information of where Korrin is. Refusing to cooperate at first, the Hylian Guard negotiated a deal with him: He was to escort a party of players to Korrin's Fortress and then back to prison; something which he took to his advantage.
He brought Alexander, Degren and Melizea Fiammetta to the fortress and took Korrin down with the help of Kappa Yagami and the defected Rockfella Brothers; holding that part of the deal up. However, he escaped immediately afterwards and has not been seen since.
