6-14-13: New Players - WindStrike - 06-10-2013
On Friday, June 14th at 6:00pm CST, I will be hosting a tutorial for any new ZURPG player. The tutorial session will cover the basics of the game, including an overview of stats, your profile, and how combat works. This should last roughly an hour. Upon completion of the tutorial, you'll get 20 Rupees.
- By this time, you should have at least set up your profile. Just prod WindStrike by PM or in chat, setting this up only takes a few minutes.
On Saturday, June 15th at 6:00pm CST, I'll be hosting an actual session for the new players. This should last 2-3 hours and will basically involve clearing a small dungeon composed of only a few rooms.
- You must have completed the basics tutorial in order to join in. If you have not, prod WindStrike ahead of time and he'll get you through it.
- You must be Level 2 to join. Anyone at a higher level will be shoo'd away, though welcome to observe.
- I'm disabling HLP interference for this one as well.
Orin's quest for the high level players is still on schedule to be run during this time, starting a little bit after the tutorial and new player quest sessions.

The bigger brother to the Stalchild, the Stalfos enters the fray with a jagged edged sword and a shield. While it may not be as explosive or infectious, it does help resurrect its allies.
- If Stalfos is killed while there is a dead ally, Stalfos' energies reanimate a dead allied body to 2 Hearts.
- Ally has -1 Power, Courage and Wisdom stats while reanimated.
- Stalfos cannot reanimate each other or other Undead beings.
- When Stalfos dies, any equipped items are dropped, replacing the random item drop.

Moblins are thuggish, unintelligent, porcine creatures that nonetheless can hold their own in a fight. However, they will submit to a higher command if they are ordered as such.
- While Moblin is in the battle, Moblin and all of his allies have +1 bonus dice when attacking or defending.
- Only one Mob Mentality can be active at a time.
- When Moblin dies, any equipped items are dropped, replacing the random item drop.

Moblin can thrust forward at a target for increased power at the cost of vulnerability.

If the attack is unsuccessful, the target automatically gets to counterattack Moblin.

While many of their brethren prefer to fight in the savage front, Moblin Archers have enough sense to provide supporting fire with their makeshift bows and a small variety of arrows. They will also submit to a higher command.
- While Moblin Archer is in battle, Moblin Archer and all allies have +1 damage on all ranged attacks.
- Multiple Trueshot Auras do not stack.
- When Moblin Archer dies, any equipped items are dropped (except arrows), replacing the random item drop.

While not as aggressive as Poe spirits, Hues are just as harmful, and have caused great harm to many night-time wanderers simply by passing through them.
- When Hue is attacked, it can convert part of its Courage stat into defending dice for an attack.
- For each Courage converted, Hue gets 1 defending dice.
- Hue's converted Courage does not return.
- Hue goes through a target, attacking the target's soul on the way through. Ignores damage reduction.
- Roll your Wisdom dice vs. targets' Wisdom dice
- Requires Light (Level: 1)
- Costs 1 Magic
- Hue can flee by the battle by firing a quick flash of Light. Roll against all enemies.
- Roll your Courage dice vs. targets' Wisdom dice / Deals 1 burn damage (neutral)
- If it's successful against all enemies, Hue escapes from the battle.

These mysterious phantoms drift about Hyrule, hidden to the naked eye. More chilling than their wrappings and deep, glowing eyes are their lanterns, which glow with the seething light of their souls.

- If the attack is successful, target loses 1 Magic.
- When Edgar Allen Poe dies, any equipped items are dropped, replacing the random item drop.

These undead, skeletal monsters could be mistaken for emaciated children, if they hadn't just burrowed from beneath your feet.
- He's made of bones and... bones. No heart, no brain, just a stack of bones.
- Stalchild's damage taken is reduced by 1
- If Stalchild is destroyed by a spell, he explodes, sending bone fragments at everyone.
- Roll your Courage dice vs. targets' Courage dice / Damage is halved
- Requires Shadow (Level: 1)
- Stalchild bites a target, lowering its stats and causing damage over time.
- Roll your Power dice vs. targets' Courage dice
- If the attack is successful, target has the Infected Affliction:
- The target takes 1 poison damage (neutral) at the start of each round.
- Target’s Courage, Power and Wisdom stats lower by 1 at the start of each round.
Infected lasts until the end of your turn two rounds later.

An offer from Ghost Hunter sent a group of four - Vincent, Dex, Kirran, and Red - into Hyrule Field to search for Poe Souls. While searching for Poes, they found a whiny kid that kept covering his eyes. Eventually, the kid uncovered his eyes, and it turned out he was a Poe of some kind. With ease, they annihilated the backstabbing Poe, and then found his brother and killed that Poe too. Everyone got a nice sum of Rupees at the end. Ghost Hunter was quite pleased.
